Course Overview

Companies have been investing more than ever in diversity, equity, and inclusion work. But even with positive changes in policy and demographics, many organizations are still missing the mark when it comes to the impact these efforts have on their employees. That’s because our DEI efforts should also focus on contributing to our employees’ sense of belonging. In this course, we’ll discuss how to boost your employee’s sense of belonging through DEIB programming. From educational chats to global holiday celebrations, we’ll teach you how to develop programming initiatives from the ground up.

Learning Outcomes

In this course, you’ll learn:

* To understand what DEIB Programming initiatives look like and how to implement them with available resources

* To gain confidence brainstorming and rolling out DEIB initiatives

* To be equipped with practical and actionable approach to starting basic DEIB programming at your organization

Course Content

In this course, we’ll dive into the different types of programming, developing a programming plan, logistical aspects, getting buy-in, unique ideas, and pitfalls to avoid when developing programming. By the end of the 3 modules, you’ll be equipped to create a 12-month DEIB programming plan for your company.

Each learning module is broken down into various video lessons with accompanying lesson texts, resources, and knowledge checks. You can move through the lessons in order, or jump back to review videos or other elements of the course.

Robert Ribar Rob Ribar is PowerToFly’s Senior Community and Events Manager. With 10 years of experience in production and events, he is able to combine his passion for media and production with his personal mission of increasing DEIB education and advocacy in his work. As the Community and Events lead, he guides his team through planning and producing DEIB-centered events and initiatives that are centered around boosting belonging.
